I have been asked by my customers time and time again when I will be stocking a perfectly "square" table that's reasonably priced compared to very expensive "bespoke" card tables, which can cost upwards of £100. As you know, a square table has many more conventional uses than a rectangular "trestle style" table.

This is a roomy 34" x 34" square table. Other tables sold on the internet might look cheaper at first glance, but they will be smaller, alot smaller. Beware of these. You want to make sure your guests as well as yourself, has enough space.

 

Also, all my prices include VAT. So beware of other sites that look very cheap at first glance. They haven't included the VAT. Ouch!

 

Why should you consider a square plastic table over a wood table or an aluminium table?

 

Well, in my experience, I have found that square tables with a plastic top or polyethelene top are an excellent balance between price, strength and convenience. Firstly, lets talk about the weight. This is one of the most lightweight tables you can buy for its size. Weighing in at about 28 pounds. Aluminium tables are lighter in weight (which I also sell) but considerably more expensive due to to the fact that they are made to order. Plastic top square tables are about half the price of aluminium tables and about 1/3 the price of wood tables of a similar size.

 

...And on the topic of wood tables, alot of people prefer wood tables because of the nice natural feel of wood. And, yes, some of them are very handsome... they also come with handsome prices to boot... in excess of £150 for a nice finished wood square table. Of course you are welcome to purchase a wood one... but, if you're looking for great value then wood might not be the ideal choice. A good example of this is the folding ability of wood tables. Some of the square tables made of wood have legs that are hinged underneath, with small latches to hold each table in place. But due to the general nature of wood, they might not be very easy to fold up. Also, some wood tables don't fold up at all. they have removable legs, which means alot more time setting up, and taking down the table. With my tables, the legs are built into the table top, so it's one complete unit. it folds away perfectly and very easy to carry.

 

Also with this convenience comes great versatility... would you take your expensive wood table outside ? probably not. With this table, it can serve a party outdoors with no problem. do you need to pop it into your car to take to a friends? no problem. The three foot square shape will easily fit into the smallest car. Also, because of the plastic and steel materials, you wont have to worry much if it gets a little wet. Just dry it off in good time and it will last you for years.

 

Now, let's talk about maintenance. with a wood table, you will eventually have to re-finish the wood, especially if you use it alot. With the plastic square table, their is virtually no maintenance. just look after the metal legs when opening and closing and this table will easily last you for 20 years or more!
